Class of 2022 WR Deandre Tamarez transfers to Champagnat

Class of 2022 wide receiver Deandre Tamarez has transferred to Champagnat Catholic High School for his senior season. The move marks another major addition to the back-to-back 2A State Champions seeking their third straight state title.

“He’s a long, smooth route runner with speed that makes everything look natural. Corners will have to worry about getting bombed all over the field.”

With an already elite wide receiver core, arguably the best in South Florida, Champagnat will field Tamerez alongside fellow seniors Shayon Walton and three star prospects Jaylin Terzado and Benson Prosper. The four senior wideouts will look to lead the young team headlined by freshman quarterback Ennio Yapoor Jr.

Tamarez is the third former Dr. Michael Krop Lightning football player to transfer to Champagnat, joining Class of 2024 offensive lineman Brian Suarez and class of 2022 sleeper prospect Timothy Simmons
